2019 Friulano (Gippsland)
Friulano, also known as Sauvignon vert or Sauvignonasse, is native to the northernmost reaches of Italy, at the base of the Alps. It’s a cornerstone grape for Grappa making in the region.
The skins used in the 2019 Whitlands Friulano were skin contact fermented by Neil, then transformed into a complex, aromatic spirit by Mark, with a bit of help from noted Italian distiller Lorenzo Versini. The result is a one-of-a-kind meeting of old world and new.

The grape skins used for the 2019 Whitlands Friulano were skin contact fermented by Neil, then transformed into the complex, aromatic spirit by Mark, with advice from noted Italian distiller Lorenzo Versini. The result is a one-of-a-kind meeting between old world experience and new-blood vision.
